What is provided with the accommodation?
All of our vacation rentals have a fully stocked kitchen and are furnished with sheets and towels, an initial supply of soap, toilet paper, trash bags, roll of paper towels and dishwasher soap. After booking you will receive your “digital welcome booklet” with more information for your beach home.
Is There an Age Restriction?
Yes, we do not rent to vacationing students or young adults under the age of 25.
Is There a Minimum Stay Requirement?
Most properties require a 3-night minimum and we are also typically more flexible with your arrival/departure day. During the summer season, we have a Saturday to Saturday requirement.
Do you Allow Pets?
We do not have “pet friendly” rental properties. Our condos are located in complexes that are governed by HOA rules. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed and many complexes have had to move to this ruling due to a few unfortunate incidents. Your best bet for a pet friendly beach property would be an individual cottage, town home or home that is not governed by HOA rules.
Do all of your properties have Wifi?
All of Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals properties’ provide WiFi for our guests FREE OF CHARGE.
Do you do direct bookings?
Absolutely! You can book directly on this website! See the BOOK NOW button at the top of the page.
Do you have any baby gear?
Yes, we have a pack-n-play and high chair at all condos.
What are the average temperatures in Miramar Beach/Destin and Blue Mtn. Beach/30A?
During the winter months (December-February), the air temperatures average around 62 degrees for a high and the low forties for a low. The winter water temperature hovers around 64 degrees. During the spring, high temperatures reach the low eighties and the water temperature is a balmy 72 degrees. The weather heats up for summer with highs easily reaching the mid-nineties in June, July, and August. In the fall, you can expect comfortable warm temperatures in the mid-eighties. The water temperature stays well above eighty from April through October.
How Do I Make a Reservation?
With Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals, you have a couple of options. To reserve your stay go the the BOOK NOW button on the top of the page. Just enter your arrival and departure dates, select the property you are interested in, and our reservation system will help you get booked for the beach!
You can also reach me, Andree’ at (504-669-3437) between 8 AM and 8 PM, 7 days a week. Reservations made through our website require only a $200.00 deposit and the balance on your stay will be due 45 days prior to your arrival. Reservations made within 45 days of arrival require payment in full at the time of the reservation. Note: Reservations made for our properties through other listing sites may be different in cost and terms. The prices shown here are guaranteed ONLY for reservations made directly with us.
What if I Have to Cancel My Reservation?
Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals understands that unforeseen circumstances do arise. However, this is not a hotel, but a small, family owned vacation rental business and we cannot easily re-book lost income from cancellations, as do large hotels. Once you have reserved the condo, it is taken off the availability calendar and all inquiries for that period are turned away. As a result, all payments made will be follow our cancellation schedule detailed in your rental contract. If you need further information, please contact us.
What About Parking?
Parking Passes are required for all of our properties and will be issued upon arrival. If you will be traveling with more than 2 vehicles or towing a boat or other trailer, please contact us prior to arrival to ensure that your accommodations have adequate parking for, and/or allow trailers, etc.
What time is Check In/Check Out?
Check in is 4pm (due to Covid we have moved our check in to 5pm) and Check out is 10am.
Can I get an early check in?
We have a certain standard for our properties and we want you to be pleased. On the day of your arrival, I will be in contact with you and sometimes we can arrange an early check-in. We will do our best, without any promises.
I see the price listed for Nightly/Weekly Rentals; what other fees are added to my reservation?
12% for Walton County, sales tax (county & state) is added to all reservations. A cleaning fee will be added and detailed on your quote. A security deposit in the amount of $400 will be placed on your credit card 15 days prior to arrival. This can be secured through a "HOLD" on your credit card or the receipt of funds in another form of payment. The deposit will be returned or the "HOLD" released within 48 hours after your departure subject to no damage being done to the unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. No other Booking Fees, Resort Fees or Amenity Fees will be added to your reservation!
Are Monthly Rentals Available?
Yes! In the fall and winter most of our properties are available for monthly rental. Monthly pricing is not provided on our site, please call. Some properties may also be available for monthly rental during other seasons of the year. Please contact us for pricing and availability.
Are group reservations available?
We do have a few condos where we have multiple units that will accommodate many groups. Church Retreats, Wedding parties, Business Retreats, or Family Reunions are all welcome and we look forward to an opportunity to work with you.
